Charities

FRIO supports JDRF, the international charity which will create a world without type 1 diabetes and a range of individual charities and support groups in the diabetic community.

We also like to take an active role; In 2017 our Business Development Manager, Chris Groves cycled 1200 miles from Santander, Spain to the FRÍO headquarters in Wales in support of JDRF UK, in memory of Liam Snailham, a type 1 diabetic who passed away in 2010.

Over the past three years we have donated £21,000 worth of medical holdalls to vulnerable people, through Giving World. The charity enabling businesses to donate surplus products, which would otherwise go to landfill, to people in need and living in poverty.

We also sponsor individuals committed to helping people with diabetes; Gavin Griffiths is an athlete with Type 1 Diabetes, who travels around the world with his mantra ‘educate, encourage and empower the next generation living with diabetes’. Through a series of diabetes education talks and exercise sessions, he aims to help others learn how to effectively manage type 1 diabetes.

FRIO is always happy to receive approaches from groups and organisations who would like to partner with FRIO to help their cause, and spread important messages about living with diabetes, through our extensive communications network.
